Reducing waste doesn’t have to be difficult. With just a few simple steps each day we call all have a huge impact on the health of the planet. Always remember:
Reduce – we can create a huge difference simply by reducing the amount of stuff we use. Consumerism is one of the biggest drivers of environmental pollution. So before you buy, stop and ask yourself – do you really need that product?
Reuse – when something is unavoidable, why not think about ways to reuse that product or package. A jam jar could become a miniature greenhouse for growing seeds!
Recycle – recycling is an important part of how waste is managed. Despite the bad press, recycling is actually a beneficial process to recover resources of all sorts. So it you can’t reuse something, and you find yourself heading to the rubbish, stop and think – can this be recycled?
